It's observed on local news today, that at the funeral of a prominent preacher, there was a large crowd & no #SocialDistancing practised, even with police around. The same with that of the police officer who was fatally killed by a drunk driver at an CMCO roadblock.

I remembered our Sr Minister (Security) mentioned before that funerals should be kept private within close family members only & confined to a small group. Even the new #CMCO #PKPB SOP disallowed for gatherings of a large group.

These 2 events seen on TV are not setting the right examples. The #CMCO #PKPB SOP is the law & any violators shall be penalised. Wonder why now some people don't listen or adhere to these guidelines? 🤦🏾‍♂️

Yet we treat them poorly. Our government brought foreign workers in to do the jobs Malaysians refuse, with adequate employment laws for their employers to adhere to. Why is their welfare so deplorable then? Why do we allow them in tight spaces to sleep?#SocialDistancing

I feel for them having to live in shop houses (allowed?) or cramp into apartments. At least a hostel is acceptable. Recently, employers had a hard time funding #COVID19 tests for their foreign workers. So no proper employment insurance for them? Isn't that required by law?

So, CMCO is enforced. But some States are only starting later this week. There is now an in limbo period between #MCO (Phase 4) & #CMCO in some of these States. What does one do? Obey to disobey?

MCO violations by a single mom, a student who went out for assignment, a student who delivered cake to bf, 2 men who went fishing, a man who went out to buy food, got them either a fine of RM1000 or jail time.
A daughter of a party leader was only sentenced to a RM800 fine.

Food delivery riders hv been taken to task by social media folks for their tardiness in deliveries. A survey by a local news channel produced comments like they be penalised for delay, to deliver despite bad weather, hv order rejected, etc. Are all these being said fair?

Guess this means #MCO phase 4 measures have been lifted if they are not mentioned under #CMCO. Like 10km travel limit & the roadblocks are lifted. Less opportunities to be fined & jailed.
But 9 states have said yday they will not implement #CMCO yet, so MCO measures remain.

In lieu of the need for the Movement Control Order to continue since the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet - the world is still battling new waves of infection and also still finding the vaccine - our Malaysian government has looked into a more "easing off" on some of the restrictions from the MCO in the past one and a half months.
